I use to organise several wikimedia workshops in schools, colleges and public. Due to restrictions, my participants face difficulty to create account during the time of events. So it will be good if I get Event coordinator account creation permission for my events. I was given temporary NPR until September 30, I'm requesting for my trial period to be extended or for the permission to not expire. Requesting early as I know requests take a while to be answered sometimes. Thank you! FatalFit |  |   22:53, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

Tɛmplet:Comment This user was granted temporary new page reviewer rights by Ingenuity (expires 00:00, 30 September 2023 (UTC)). MusikBot talk 23:00, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
@FatalFit can you give examples of where you've reviewed articles? I see a lot of redirects in your curation log but there's ,uch less to assess there than with an article. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 12:20, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
Mostly I wanted to help out with the very large redirect backlog but I've also reviewed some disambiguation pages and some articles I've reviewed are Detroit Bus Station, Amasia (supercontinent), Augustana (Illinois) Vikings football, Sam Gellaitry, Basira Paigham and Glasgow Transit. FatalFit |  |   23:39, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

I've recently started participating again at AfC and AfD again in the past few months and I figured I can handle the more demanding workload. By my own estimate, in a month I probably won't review much more than a dozen, perhaps a score, but I thought I'd throw my hat in anyway. Alpha3031 (tc) 13:12, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

Done, thank you for volunteering and do as much or as little as you like – it all helps. Joe (talk) 13:51, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

With the increasing backlog (although drive is coming), some help probably wouldn't hurt. I've been working at counter-vandalism, help venues, dispute resolution, speedy deletion (some of those) and a bit at AFD and removing copyvios, and currently writing a few articles. I've went through all the instructions for the Curation Tool, the new page feed, the acceptance criteria and other guidance. I've understood everything, though if I'm unsure, I'll rather ask for help or leave it in the queue rather than review it myself. NotAGenious (talk) 11:57, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

@NotAGenious: I'm sorry, but you must have been a registered user for at least 90 days and have at least 500 undeleted mainspace edits to patrol new pages. Please feel free to reapply once you meet this and the other criteria.

Hmm. Thanks. NotAGenious (talk) 17:03, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

Would love to be involved in this process- I have made many mainspace content edits and participated in AFD. Very interested in helping with this month’s drive as well. GraziePrego (talk) 03:24, 30 September 2023 (UTC)

Thank you for volunteering GraziePrego. I'm afraid we usually look for quite a bit more prior experience in deletion, AFC, and/or article creation before granting this right, though. for now, but please do consider requesting again after you've got more experience in those areas. Joe (talk) 13:56, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm interested in helping with the October 2023 New Page Patrol Backlog Drive. Flurrious (talk) 00:23, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi Flurrious. Thank you for offering to help with the backlog drive. The guidelines for granting this right ask for prior experience in AfD, AfC, and/or page creation, but it doesn't look like you've been active in any of those areas recently. I'm sorry but this doesn't give me any way of assessing your suitability for the role, so at this time. Joe (talk) 14:00, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I have created 195 pages, 27 from them ended up in the mainpage as DYK, have 8 GA and 6 other under nomination, have reviewed couple of GA, and has one article being considered for FA. Sadly, I had 1 block in June for warring but since then I have completely changed my approche to dealing with difficult topics to extent of recieving a "The Barnstar of Integrity" from an admin just one week after this incident. the other block was done by mistake. I am also actively participating in Wikipedia:WikiProject Sudan and africa in general FuzzyMagma (talk) 08:51, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

Done for a one-month trial period. — Ingenuity (talk  contribs) 00:51, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

While I have only participated in a few AfDs, and have not created any pages myself, I'm interested in maintaining the quality of Wikipedia pages, which is hopefully demonstrated by my editing history. Sciencefish (talk) 14:19, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi Sciencefish. I've no doubt that you are, but as the guidelines for this right say, we really need to see prior experience in maintenance processes. So I'm afraid I have to say for now, but thank you for volunteering and do feel free to re-request if you spend some time at AfD, AfC, etc. first. Joe (talk) 14:04, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I'm requesting this permission, so I can help in clearing the recent backlog (see October 2023 New Page Patrol Backlog Drive). So far I've reviewed 5-10 pages. Ratnahastin (talk) 06:30, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I was slightly more active monitoring new pages 10-15 years ago, but recently became aware of the large backlog in new pages and hoping to assist in the October drive. MacAddct1984 (talk | contribs) 13:31, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I am aware of the significant backlog of articles awaiting review and would like to contribute to reducing that number. I have been actively engaged in counter-vandalism, assisting in various venues, resolving disputes, and contributing to AFD while also addressing copyright violations. I have thoroughly reviewed the instructions for the Curation Tool, the new page feed, the acceptance criteria, and other guidance. Thank you. Saurabh{Talk} 06:11, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

I believe my recent contributions show that I understand what makes a good article and meets Wikipedia's guidelines for inclusion. I'm also active in fighting vandalism and patrolling the recent changes page. I'm looking to get into the AfC process as well as help out with the backlog drive. MicrobiologyMarcus (talk) 19:18, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello! I would enjoy volunteering to alleviate this backlog. I have grown as a Wikipedia editor and still continue to do so. If denied, no worries. Please just let me know what skills or validation I lack, and what you recommend I do with my contributions to reapply again in the future. What would need to be evident in my edits and all that. I would appreciate that advice and guidance very much. Lately, my edits have been very focused on cleaning-up Oscars and other film articles. I think one area in particular that I could specifically lend myself towards improving (and earning barnstars) are the new page articles for new films, expanding them when they're stubs. I believe it's WikiProject Film. So again, any guidance on how I can utilize my passion for the Oscars/film articles for my benefit in earning credo and stock, that would be greatly appreciated! So I hope you'll consider, and if not, all tips/advice welcome. Thank you. --Cinemaniac86Dane_Cook_Hater_Extraordinaire 20:40, 3 October 2023 (UTC) --Cinemaniac86Dane_Cook_Hater_Extraordinaire 20:40, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

I'm asking for another trial or formal permission of page mover as my current trial will expire in the next week. I'm active in the whole trial period. I mainly use round-robin page moves to swap malplaced disambiguation pages. Moreover, delete-redirect is used to overwrite redirects left by mistaken page moves and tboverride is used to tag editnotices of unsalted deleted pages as G8 candidates. I went through the WP:Page_mover#Guidelines_for_granting and saw that I am not qualified yet per criterion #1 and #2 but I took the courage to make this request after reading the last line which says An administrator may grant page mover rights to users they otherwise deem competent and may deny the requests if they do not see a need for the tools or have other concerns.

I have a log of draftification and I keep draftifying articles and leaving a redirect that is marked for deletion. I would love to help reduce that backlog by simply having the pagemover right. Thanks so much! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 11:10, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer

Hello, For the past six months, I've been active in the Wikipedia community adding new content and creating articles, but especially fighting vandalism. I have also gained experience in reviewing by looking and reviewing semi-protected and protected pages edit requests. I have been patrolling the recent changes page removing obvious problems (unnecessary per policy or obvious vandalism) when I just came across an instance where my changes that I approved of (and then added to) weren't added. I had just assumed extended confirmed was all that was required. As such, I would like pending changes reviewer permissions to help with the back log. Hello, for the past six months I've been active in the Wikipedia community, adding content, but especially fighting vandalism. That is what brings me here, as I am sure that with rollback I'd be able to prevent vandalism more effectively! I've been using Twinkle to remove vandalism as well, and would like to get access to AntiVandal and Huggle with those rights to fight vandalism even more. Hi NoNAja, the time between one's first edit on enwiki and their request for the rollback permission is usually longer than 2 hours. I have had a look at your dewiki contributions and am fine with granting the permission earlier than others would normally do, but two hours are tough to justify. Would you mind re-requesting this after at least two weeks and 200 mainspace contributions to get fully accustomed to enwiki's policies, guidelines and procedures? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:07, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
The second condition is met, if you want to still uphold the first, I will have to wait. NoNAja (talk) 01:38, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

yet ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:19, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

As of this day, I feel like I have now had sufficient editing experience. Most edits that I reverted have either been done through vandalism or in bad faith. Using Twinkle works well, but sometimes the rollback or vandalism revert buttons can become slow and useless. However, if I get this permission, reverting vandalism will become much easier. I will not misuse it while checking the edits. I will only use it to revert vandalism or bad-faith edits. If I don't get the permission, then that is okay. I will wait for another few months. Thank you. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 17:58, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

In addition, I've been doing recent changes patrolling for almost a year now. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 22:00, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Cyberwolf434344, my concern back then was language-based. I'm not a native speaker, so I'm not in the best position to criticize English writing quality. I make mistakes all the time.
Nevertheless, I personally am uncomfortable with granting any kind of review/rollback/undo permission in response to this request. "2 times" with a space between word and number. "Myself" is usually one word. "I'm" should have a capital I and an apostrophe.
Cyberwolf434344, you would like to review others' contributions to an English encyclopedia. You're applying for a permission that would allow you to quickly undo others' contributions with a single click. You're applying for access to tools like Huggle that allow you to review contributions at high speed. Your request does not even explain a need for this.
I won't reject your request a second time, but I can't see a reason why it would be granted. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:33, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
(I've now had a look to see if I'm focused to strongly on the request itself, but then I found the edit summary of Special:Diff/1176246115 and gave up, sorry.) ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:42, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello! A while ago, I got a 3-month trial of TPE here with the primary intention of WikiGnoming template-protected modules — making small simplifications to modules to make them more efficient and/or easier to read. My trial expired a while back while I was away, and my interest in editing Wikipedia waned at around the same time, so I didn't re-request it. My interest has partially returned, though, so I would now like to request permanent TPE. I'm confident in my ability to avoid causing any ruckus; I didn't get into any conflict during my trial, and I made sure to test changes and ensure they wouldn't be controversial.

(Note: I'm relatively certain this'll be asked about, so: my Gnomehub I created during my trial does include a few regex searches for things that might be controversial to simplify (although maybe I'm just wildly overestimating underestimating the elevation of the "controversial" bar), but those don't serve as statements that simplifying those would never be controversial; those searches might never be used to make such edits, and just lay dormant as an indication of "this pattern of code might not be perfect in an objective sense" to be used if I think simplifying it would be appropriate and non-controversial. Sorry if I'm not making any sense here.) {{Lemondoge|Talk|Contributions}} 19:33, 29 September 2023 (UTC); edited to correct mistake - 18:25, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

My trial run has ended, and I am coming back to request full permissions. None of the edits to protected templates have been reverted, and I've reviewed and implemented multiple edit requests. I would like to continue editing templateeditor protected pages doing the same things: maintenance and edit requests. Thank you. SWinxy (talk) 00:17, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
