[mali mi di yibu sheena n-niŋ]This template is used for formatting text in the Devanagari script. It accepts an obligatory parameter for the Devangari text and an optional second parameter for the transliteration:

An optional third parameter specifies the transliteration scheme used (for example, IAST for IAST or ISO for ISO 15919). If the |link= parameter is set to no, the string Devanagari will not be linked.
When not to use
[mali mi di yibu sheena n-niŋ]To format Devanagari text in a specified language, use {{langx}}.
To prevent the text Devanagari: from displaying, use {{transl}}: <nowiki>{{transl|und-Deva|some text}}</nowiki> if the language is undetermined. If the language is specified, use {{lang}}.
