Auchi Polytechnic nyɛla bɛ daa pilli shɛli yuuni 1963, din nyɛ tuuli technical college din daa nyɛ pini shɛli British government ni daa zaŋ n-ti Midwestern Region. Yuuni 1973, Bendel State Government nyɛla ŋun pahi technical college ka di daa leei polytechnic shɛli din nyɛ talahi ni Higher National Diploma yaɣili bɔhimbu engineering, science, environmental studies, business studies n-ti pahi art and design.[3]
Bɛ daa pilli bɔhimbu yaga pahi din daa pun be ni maa zuɣu, lala bɔhimbu yaɣa maa nyɛ engineering, applied sciences and technology, environmental studies, management studies n-ti pahi art and industrial design. Yuuni 1994, Federal Government nyɛla ŋun daa deei polytechnic ŋɔ ka chɛ Edo State Government.[4]
